Covert cameras can catch perpetrators in the act to protect yard areas

Thieves broke into a depot and literally lifted equipment by using a big crane. Two outbuildings were taken from the council-owned yard in Stirlingshire. Constable Mark Harvey pointed out that although it took place in a quiet area, the theft needed a large ‘Hiab’ style vehicle to lift the items, and added: “We feel certain that people would have seen them being removed.” Anyone who can assist with information is asked to contact Central Scotland Police on 01786 456000.
