A Hull resident who’s installed a CCTV system at his property says he wants to shame dog owners who fail to clean up their pets’ mess, a news article in the local media reveals.

Distraught Mr. William Rhodes, of Southcoates Lane, east Hull, says he has been forced to take the drastic step after clearing up mess twice a day. Now, after spending £400 on the surveillance equipment, the home owner warns that anyone caught failing to clean up after their pet risks being reported to Hull City Council.

Mr Rhodes also revealed that he plans to chop down his privet hedge in order to remove a CCTV “black spot”. He said: “I should not have to install CCTV and remove a hedge to catch people who fail to clean up after dogs. But as the council has not done anything about it, I have to do it.”

“If I catch anyone on CCTV, I will be taking the evidence to the council and asking for them to be fined” he summed up.
